The Arkansas Integrative Metabolic Research Center (AIMRC)

Overview of Services

The Arkansas Integrative Metabolic Research Center (AIMRC) is an NIH-designated Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) established in April 2021 at the University of Arkansas with Phase I funding from NIGMS (P20GM139768).

The mission of the AIMRC is to promote and expand cross-disciplinary biomedical research in metabolism.  This research can involve obtaining a mechanistic understanding of the role of metabolism in different diseases or the development and translation of new diagnostic tools and therapies for improving human health.  The AIMRC aims to broaden and expand access to metabolic analysis instrumentation through bioenergetics, imaging and Spectroscopy, and data science, ensuring cost-effective access to metabolic flux analysis, imaging, and data science methods and technology.
